01 — Practice
Where a senior CFO makes the difference.
Six areas of work, one operating principle: get close to the numbers quickly, then make the decisions that follow from them.
A senior pair of hands, brought in when the finance function has to carry more weight than it currently can.
Discuss a mandate-
01
Restructuring & stabilisation
Cash under pressure, covenants in sight, or a group that has grown faster than its controls. I diagnose quickly, steady the reporting, and build a plan that lenders and investors can stand behind.
-
02
Carve-outs, disposals & M&A
Buy-side diligence and sell-side preparation, from the data pack to the transitional service agreements. I have run processes on both sides and know what a buyer will test.
-
03
Interim CFO & finance leadership
A senior CFO in the chair for a transition, a gap or a step change — without the commitment of a permanent hire. Board reporting, audit, treasury and controls, from day one.
-
04
Family office & private wealth
Group finance for founder-led family offices: consolidation across entities and jurisdictions, portfolio reporting, treasury, audit co-ordination and appraisal of new investments.
-
05
Finance transformation & systems
ERP and reporting programmes that finish. SAP S/4HANA, Oracle and NetSuite migrations, process integration and a faster close — led from the finance side, not the IT side.
-
06
Fund-raising & investor reporting
Business plans, cash flows and reporting packs that stand up to investor scrutiny — for a first institutional round, a refinancing or the run-up to an exit.
02 — Record
A record measured in outcomes.
A selection of results from three decades of CFO and advisory mandates, from a €1.5bn multinational to a founder’s first institutional round.
| Result | Organisation | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| €8m | OpenHydro Group | Less capital investors needed to inject after cash requirements were held 15–20% below budget. |
| 100% | DS Smith, France | EBITDA above plan — delivered while running the sale process for the business. |
| £348m | Transport for London | Of ten-year savings identified in the IT investment programme I drew up. |
| 14 | Companies, seven countries | Integrated, restructured and stabilised across the OpenHydro group. |

04 — About
Thirty years in the chair. Not in the stands.
Andrew Meyrick is a chartered accountant and career CFO. Trained at PwC and KPMG, he has spent three decades as a finance director and CFO in private-equity-backed groups, family offices and international businesses — from founder-led start-ups to €1.5bn multinationals.
Much of that time has been in the difficult rooms: post-acquisition clean-ups, groups under cash pressure, refinancings, carve-outs and disposals. He has reported to founders, boards, PE investors and lenders, and worked in English, French, Italian and German.
Status & Quo is his advisory practice: one senior pair of hands, brought in when the finance function needs to carry more weight than it currently can.

05 — Approach
Direct, discreet, and quick to the point.
Most engagements begin with a problem that needs a view, not a proposal. The process is deliberately short.
-
01
A conversation
A short conversation, no fee and no pitch deck. You describe the situation; I tell you honestly whether I can help.
-
02
A short diagnostic
If there is a fit, I spend time with the numbers and the people closest to them. You get a clear view of the problem, the options and the risks.
-
03
Clear terms
A defined scope, a named deliverable and a fee agreed in advance. Then I get into the business and do the work.
The first conversation is confidential and without obligation.
